Is it just me that finds it mildly interesting that the Chinese haven't bothered copying the Freelander, Discovery, Defender, RRS or FFRR yet they copy the Ewok Thumbs Up

Is it perhaps a nod to the customer base which they know is out there - thems who appreciate bling before substance?

Just saying Whistle

In the engineering world the talk is always around the nuclear / power / energy side of this argument...

Regardless of all that....you have to admire the balls of this.....and there are take aways all over the UK still trying to produce Chinese food as well as the real thing...

BTW....looks better than a FL and RRS Rolling with laughter

I just read the autocar report too....so the 2.0 TD 188bhp is now "underpowered".....but the 2.2td 190bhp that the evoque runs isn't...and the vastness of the 5cm increase in height and 1cm length increase will simply make it feel sluggish....

what a load of western Censored - loath it all you like, it probably drives badly too....BUT they actually built it and it will likely sell more than all of LR's fleet put together... Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Well if JLR are opening a car plant in China with 'Chery' what do they expect?

'The British manufacturer has just opened its first car factory in China in a venture with local firm Chery. '

and:

'Jaguar Land Rover chief executive Dr Ralf Speth told Autocar magazine: ‘The fact that this kind of copying is ongoing in China is very disappointing. The intellectual property (IP) is owned by Jaguar Land Rover and if you break that IP then you are in breach of international regulations.’

Since when has breaching international regulations ever stopped the Chinese?

We are all being screwed into the ground over reducing carbon emissions and yet China are building a new coal fired power station every couple of days!
