GP Cars

all, perhaps I just missed it when searching but do any of you have experience of dealing with GP Cars of Hoddesdon? Reasonable stock list by look of it and for me, would be an ideal place for me (as first time buyer) to try to decide whether to go for
1) 4.2S - what the heart would go for as big V8 fan and previous buyer of daft uneconomical vehicles when more sensible ones exist!
2) 3.6TDV8 - what the head should go for if definitely going FFRR
3) Discovery - what the 'sensible family man with two big dogs and loads of rugby kit' would go for.
All 3 available there so will probably take a look. However, would like opinions whether worth going further (ie buying there) if I like any of them

I'm not miles from Gary Elliott either so based on feedback on here will also give him a call soon

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

I bought my SC from there.
Had one niggle with some missing roof trim, but they sorted.
Seemed an honest outfit. Has some lovely stock, Ferraris, Porsches etc

Choose them over saxtons any day!

One point to consider, they are not a rangie specialist like Gary Alcohol and eBay is never a good mix

Thanks for the reply. No idea why I put Hoddesdon when they're in Brookmans Park but good to know you were happy with them

England 2006 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver

I bought mine from GP Cars at the start of the year. (They were in Hertford then) Sales experience was good no ressure etc and a decent no hassle part ex given. There were a couple of small bits that they were meant to fix before pick-up that after collection I found hadn't been done properly and a couple of other problems found that they agreed to fix. After a while they took back and said the work had been done but car was delivered back with trim not fitted, boot floor broken, dash loose and some faults still present. Took ages to try and get a response and in the end I ended up fixing some of the problems caused and to this day I am still waiting for them to have a slot available in the workshop but have given up.

Decent sales and initial aftersales but downhill after that. Shame as I had been looking to get a second car from them and possibly updating the FFRR early next year. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t
