United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Autobiography Black TDV8 Santorini Black
2003 L322 Range Rover Td6

Hi All

Thought I would introduce myself - a bit of a land rover/range rover enthusiast, who owns a 1974 land rover series 3 and a 2003 Range Rover Td6. The old landy shares the garage with a totally original 1965 Rover 2000 and a ZZr1100 motorbike (which I currently have in bits)

We bought the Td6 2 years ago from woodside land rover in Maulden - had a few teething troubles to start with, but they have been ironed out over time. I tend to do a fair amount of my own maintenance, along with my old man who also owns a 2002 Td6 in Giverney Green. Between us we bought the hawkeye diag tool to help with things, although touch wood we have only needed it on a couple of occasions.

Ours is finished in Java black with Sand/beige leather - the full Vogue model with the non-touchscreen nav, that I have upgraded to the DVD drive to give us postcodes and 3D maps. I've also had a Bluetooth module fitted so that we can stream music through the stereo. Couple of "projects" on the boil are:

Front Anti roll bar links
Front suspension arms
Sort out a small dent in the front door, courtesy of an inconsiderate waitrose shopper
Think about upgrading telephone system to Bluetooth
Replace cracked drivers side seat trim
Replace steering wheel spokes with silver trim (already purchased from PowerfulUK)
Find a towball for the factory fit tow bar.
Talk to JE Engineering about a remap

Anyway, we love it - its lovely and comfortable and looks the part - but my god, Black is a sod to keep clean.

I'll post up pictures soon.

Cheers

Neil.

Pictures of the beast.

The Green one is my old mans, which he has just sold this afternoon - being replaced by a 2011 TDV8 in bronze. Looking forward to having a go at that when it arrives tomorrow.

The Black one is our old bus - given their ages, I think they do look well.

Thanks, and thanks for the tip about duckworths. Very useful to know.

Its a bit of a shame as I just ordered a service kit and suspension bits from paddocks, but I will look at Duckworths for the oil and other things.

Thanks. We got 7,500 for it in the end, which isn't too bad we think.

Starting to think if we should sell our black one and "invest" (not quite sure that's the right word) in a TDv8.
