She says it was because the car doesn't have parking sensors ffs! So we have a typically large excess , do I mtfu or ignore it & hope for the best? Any good ideas greatly appreciated!

+1 Chips Away or similar should be able to do it for less than your excess

Maybe leave it until the last day just in case she does it again

Use a hairdryer on it, get it pretty hot and a lot of that will shrink back.... Pete

Last year I put a very small scratch in the back bumper of an Audi A6 from Hertz in Paris, they hit me with a bill of over €1000 for repairs and 'loss of use', even though I am a Gold President Circle member and had taken the excess cover!
After a lot of emails I got them down to €200.
