IID tool, Faultmate etc will do it. Failing that get your dealer to do it, take it for alignment and then back to the dealer to put it back to normal mode.

The difference is normal mode allows 10mm of tolerance before altering air suspension heights and TT mode is 3mm. Don't drive it long term in TT mode though as it makes the compressor work hard.

OK< so I rang around, Formula 1 centres use the Hunter Supertrak system, but they don't put the car into "tight tolerance mode", only the dealer will do that, so I rang them and they want £120 to do it. I am NOT paying that much.

Just how crucial is this Tight Tolerance mode? Surely it's just mechanical adjustments? In all my years of RR ownership I have never heard of this before Discovery 4 HSE

i had mine done at imperial tyres in swindon on a hunter setup and they didnt put it into tight tolerence mode.. ... - .- -.

I understand tight tolerence isnt required for L322 only for Disco3 and 4.Although if in any doubt it can do no harm. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Well I couldn't stand it any longer, not even a day!

I took it to my local F1 Autocentre and they got it on the ramps, then I got the "Range Rover? Can you come through?"

I thought, uh oh, here we go. Anyway, the chap talked me through the settings and just how bad they were. Turns out no one had touched the rears and they were far out too.

So, an hour later and £72 lighter I left with a car that runs straight and has a steering wheel pointing in the right direction!

For others interest they don't use Hunters system, but the one they use cost them £24k. Forgotten the name, it will come to me.

Happier now. Discovery 4 HSE
