Radio/CD stopped working and wont turn on.

Got in the car today to find the stereo wasn`t working. I had turned it off the other week and today was the first time I turned it on.

The CD and radio were working perfectly before turning it off now it wont turn back on. It seems none of the buttons on the LH side of the head unit work. The OBC and sat nav still work fine.

Plugged in Allcoms but didn`t come up with anything.

Any thoughts on where to start, does it sound like a fuse?

Had a flat battery today so went off and bought a new Bosch 020.

Good news: the radio is now back working.

Bad news: I`m getting air Suspension message on the dash and the ABS warning light is on.

6 months in and I`m now experiencing the quirkiness of the RR electronics.

Rather annoyingly I`ve just swapped my work laptop over and removed my Allcoms software. New laptop is program install protected so will need to dig out our old home laptop and install Allcoms on that.

Hopefully it just requires a reset of the error messages.

Rather strange that it happened after battery went flat I thought, no?

Arhh good point stan. Is that the old turn steering wheel full lock and back trick?

Totally forgot about doing that. Will try in the morning.

Thanks for the quick response.

Radio not working

Hi Guys
I have this problem with the radio now as well and I have removed the plugs cleaned with terminal cleaner and put them back on and still nothing!
OBC works as is sat nave and screen also showing the DSP graphics but no sound and on off switch is doing nothing as are all the buttons on the left of the screen.
Was going to go for android but has way more on it than I need so would like to get existing system sorted out and a bluetooth set up added for phone.
Any ideas as to the problem.

Probably the BM54 pre-amp gone. This feeds into the DSP which relies on a signal from the radio. Try putting a 9V battery across across one of the speaker wires. This will prove the speakers works. If you get some noise the speakers are working which will support the pre-amp theory
