Price of supercharged rear lights

As above, why is there such a wide price range, cheapest on E-Bay is £330.00 per pair rising to £369.00 EACH Shocked using Google £315 each to £525 Each Shocked Shocked I appreciate that dealers have to make a profit but there is a huge difference between £330 a pair and £525 each how can this be justified, just to add all are advertised a genuine parts

Now wondering if the wiring for side markers is going to be there, left car at daughters so not able to check at the moment, big saving over uk spec lights though Very Happy worse comes to worse have to splice into wiring, bulb monitoring already turned of with IID tool so no worries about error codes Thumbs Up

No the wiring will NOT be there sir... Thumbs Up

I presume The lights offered are direct from Hella... They call them Genuine because Hella make them for JLR too... BUT!!! the lights made for JLR by Hella may have to meet stricter QC then those made by Hella for the mass market... These are known as OEM and sellers get "very confused" over OE & OEM Whistle

Not such an issue with well known companies like Hella... But you'd be surprised what some get away with!!!

Hope that clears that up Thumbs Up

Just curious, if you change the rear lights to the clear lens versions as above are you still stuck with the orange indicators on the front or can these also be modified to be clear?

Yip, Use the conor wet towel method and take your time and jobs a good en Very Happy

I tried it but it didn't look right without the coloured plastic there so put it back in Smile

Ideally you'd need a piece of frosted white plastic to go in place of the orange one or clear plastic and spray some smoked stuff onto like boy racers do for rear lights and then it would blend in better to the normal grey plastic and swap the bulb for an orange LED one( LED with the canbus bits on), as the LED will be brighter which is what you'll need if smoking the plastic a little.

or if there is a small thin strip of orange LED's you could wire them in and put the smoked clear plastic over them for a very bright indicator Very Happy FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I did wonder whether you could remove the clear sidelight lens from a scrap sidelight light unit and install it in place of the orange lens in a useable sidelight. Might have a look into that. Thumbs Up
