It means that the FBH has not been able to detect a flame, or the flame detector is faulty.

I tried mine for the first time this week since getting the FF 18 months ago! Well, there was a heavy frost on it and I thought it was a good time to try it 😊. Read the manual to make sure I knew what to do, carefully followed the instructions, held the remote at the correct angle, pressed the button for 2 seconds and saw a little red LED flash, then saw it flash red for a further 3 seconds, just as it said in the manual.............nothing happened! Tried again the next day.........still nothing?

I don't use the car every day so it's not that vital to have it working, but I just like things to work if they're meant to, so what's likely to be wrong?

Don't know if it is relevant but when I use the remote it flashes green and keeps flashing green when it is working. (MY2005 with T90 receiver and T91 remote).

I may be wrong but red flashes would indicate to me that the FBH isn't firing up.

I am presuming that the remote came with the car and is properly paired. If so then it I would think it is the FBH at fault. John

When I tried mine when I first got it the remote just flashed red and wouldn't start the FBH. I changed the battery in the remote and re-paired it back to the car by pulling out the FBH fuse in the rear RHS compartment. To pair it again I pulled out the fuse for about 10secs and reinserted the fuse and within 5secs pressed the remote button. I did get instructions on here so best to search on here. It was simple to do. Hopefully it just needs a battery and re-pairing. Thumbs Up

For basic troubleshooting, try turning it on manually from the home screen in the car - that will help narrow it down to whether the FBH is working, then you can start worrying about the remote.

Just how warm is the inside supposed to get? When I have run mine for the max 30 mins the inside is only really just 'off cold' - You can tell its been warmed up but only just.. I appreciate the ambient temp will have a lot to do with it but does anyones cabin get 'toastie' warm so to speak? Is my FBH short changing me?

I hate to state the obvious sir but, what are your heater controls set to? If they are not up high, the cabin won't warm that much... Thumbs Up
