Ditto ! 18k miles and virtually no wear - lost 1 mpg ish - got back upping the PSI.

noisy when fitted - sounded like a swarm of bees Twisted Evil Cool but quietend down when the tread bedded in.

They are the only 20" AT tyre speed rated for the RR. Will be buying the same again unless another rated tyre materialises. Absolutely no handling issues and they are a square profile which protects the alloys - and saves you looking like a right dick not getting stuck using your RR for what it was intended Laughing

We run several RR's, LR's and other 4x4's and other than Cooper STT's on the Defenders these are the best all rounders

I’ve been wondering about these as a possible replacement for my current AT2 (255/60R18).
I’ve been pleased with the AT2 – I find them versatile and they have worn very well.
What surprises me, though, is that the new AT have the same (European) Fuel Efficiency and Wet Grip ratings (F and E respectively) as the AT2. OK, the Road Noise rating has gone down from a relatively noisy 74 dB for the AT2 to 73 dB for the newer AT but I would have expected more of an obvious improvement in a new tyre …
As for the price, it’s difficult to compare as the AT2 have been superseded, but the new AT seem to be pretty expensive.
I shall be interested to hear if anyone has back-to-back experience of how the two compare in real life. It's "bébéchoon", ackcherly, with accents. 'Steve' to my chums.
20 years ownership of Solihull products, ALL GONE NOW, sniff!
Current motor: Suzuki S-Cross 4WD auto, 1.4 petrol. Oh so reliable! 5 years now and no problems. Oh, all right then, a leaking shocker replaced under guarantee.

How strange …
The labels on those show as “F” for both Fuel Efficiency and Wet Grip, and 74 dB for Road noise, whereas here (France) it’s given as “E” for Wet Grip (“F” for Fuel Efficiency) and 73 dB for noise:

Does it vary according to tyre size? From country to country? (surely not!) It's "bébéchoon", ackcherly, with accents. 'Steve' to my chums.

Had two sets of GG ATs on my old D3. Got fed up of getting through a set of Pirelli Zeros a year. The first set of GG ATs lasted for over 45,000 miles compared to about 20,000 on Pirelli and Goodyears.

I have Pirellis on my TDV8, so when they need replacing I know that a GG ATs will be the tyre of choice.

Bebechoon,

I expect size does matter.

I would think more rubber in contact with the road would generate more noise and I know in general terms, the bigger the tyre the more likely it is to aquaplaned, so would expect poorer performance in the wet.

I will let you know what it feels like as it is lashing down with rain today in Glasgow (very unusual !!! Whistle Whistle Whistle ). However, I expect I will have to scrub them in a bit to get a true reflection.

The EU labeling is worthless, it's applied by the manufacturers themselves and isn't comparable in any useful way.

Ah yes, Dean, I should have thought of that! And indeed you’re right – the French tyre site I quoted shows the 275/45 R20 rated as “F”, “F” and 74 dB.
I’m sure there’s truth in what you say also, Trommel, but if the manufacturers have complete liberty I’d have thought they’d have shown an improvement in rated performance between the old AT2 and its replacement the "new, improved" AT …
Oh, naïve me?!!!
Either way, thanks for the photos, Dean. The AT certainly look chunky. Could I bother you by asking if you can measure the tread depth? My AT2 were 10 mm when new. And yes, I’d love to read of your further impressions. It's "bébéchoon", ackcherly, with accents. 'Steve' to my chums.
