when you consider that the exhaust box is very visible to road users behind you then yes it does need spraying..

Stan, that's a very serious and practical answer from you |

I give mine a rub down and the apply a nice spray of black heatproof stove paint ( c/o B&Q) ...it works a treat. The wife does her own and keeps it nice and tidy as far as I can tell. GONE 2010 Facelifted 3.6 TDV8 - Stornoway Grey + 22" Overfinch Olympus

If you were to replace the rear bumper with one of these, you cover the unsightly rear end up |

I will admit to repainting mine, every time I looked at the car from over 10 feet away the back box jumped out and slapped you in the face. In the end I couldn't stand it any longer, so I took a wire brush to the box and removed all the flaky paint that was still holding on, degreased the box and sprayed it with some black VHT exhaust paint. Looks a thousand times better |

I did all the prep and degreasing thing ... And then Stan pointed out he just pointed and sprayed, before chuckling himself to sleep - again - at my wasted time |

I had to attack mine with a wire brush cos it was plastered in mud. Those rear bumpers are a bit too much RRS for me, plus I'd have a bit missing most of the time as I tow, a lot. I suppose that it's down to what your using the car for, if you spend all of your time on the road, a body kit is OK. But if you take the car off road, like it was designed for, a body kit wouldn't last very long. I just remember the fancy spoiler that they fitted to the 4 door classic, first incline that the car went over, bye bye spoiler and driving lights |
