2002 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Epsom Green
CY's 2002 Td6 Epsom Green Vogue

From one forum member to another... Looking forward to meeting netsonic Steve tomorrow morning to take his pride and joy to a very proud new home.

If my last two years with the TD5 are anything to go by, I've got a lot to learn, and a lot to enjoy. It will be loved and looked after!

Just got to fly 500 miles south from Scotland first before I can get the keys Laughing

Looking forward to many more posts on here.

Thumbs Up you'll like the RR, far nicer than the D2, first tool to buy would be a IId tool for that green oval issue that always turns up when you don't want it! Laughing Sad If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

If you've got a Hawkeye for the D2 it can also work for the FFRR if you buy the relevant codes. Don't know the extent of the coverage. You can check it against the iiD spec.

I have a Nanocom Evo for the D2 which unfortunately does not cover pre 2010.

Having said that I am more than pleased with the BT iiD. Thumbs Up John

2002 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Epsom Green
Update - A Year On...

Hi All,

Well one year after I collected my new (to me) 2002 Vogue Td6 from Netsonic Steve on here, I have made a few changes to it. This is how it looked when I collected it from Steve:

During the last year, I've made the following changes:

- Invested in a Range Rover related number plate!
- Added 7-spoke 20" Alloy wheels
- Fitted General Grabber AT tyres
- Fitted NAS-spec side repeater units (with the orange reflective strip)
- Fitted clear/red rear light clusters
- Replaced all badges with black & silver and all grey lettering with silver
- Added a new-style roof 'shark' fin
- Fitted a 2010-style silver splitter bar to the front bumper
- Added black gloss 2005-style wing mirror covers
- New design tailgate button
- Exterior LED conversion (internal already done)
- Replaced Mk3 Nav with Mk4 DVD system and added 2016 Maps with Speed Cameras
- Replaced the navigation screen unit (old one was faded/scratched)
- Instrument Cluster Pixel Repair carried out
- Resprayed all walnut wood to piano black
- Replaced the 'airbag' interior logos with black/silver Land Rover badges
- Fitted new heated leather steering wheel with silver trim
- Upgraded heating control switches to silver trimmed ones from 2007 model
- Full bodywork machine correction detail
- Green/ivory carpet mats sourced to match the original interior
- IID Tool purchased and reconfigurations made

A handful of mechanical repairs under the bonnet too. I'm very pleased with the changes, I aimed to keep them genuine and subtle enough just to bring the car up-to-date and keep it looking clean and modern.

This is how she looks now:

WOW Exclamation

Nice car to start with but what a difference. Thumbs Up
That body detailing really brings out the colour. Thinking of doing similar with mine (Buckingham Blue) What does that sort of detailing cost, if you don't mind me asking Question

How did you get the 2010 front bumper splitter bar to fit/work? I really like that!

Is that a plug and play mod? Where did you get it? What color does it come in....Titan Silver? 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

Andy,

I paid £350 but this was after getting a fair few quotes and researching the service well, so I know it was a reasonable price. This took 5 days and included a decontaminating wash, multi-stage machine polish to correct all defects on the paint and then sealed with a quartz coating. He also did the glass, plastics, alloys, tyres, exhaust etc. There are cheaper services available though, however I saw this as an investment for a 14-year old car. This was the photos taken by the detailer when he finished - you're right, it really brought the colour back to life.

Horse86 - the silver strip can be purchased from PowerfulUK (link below). Yes it's simple plug and play - use alcohol wipes (provided) to cleanse the surface and then it's simply a cover which sticks on over the existing body-coloured part. I suggest using a couple of strips of 3M Automotive Tape on the bumper too just to hold it in place securely Thumbs Up

CY...do you know if its an OEM piece...specifically the 2010 OEM piece that just so happens to fit? Or is it a custom piece? Reason I ask is the 2010 OEM part can be found for cheaper and it would save me a lot on shipping across the pond.

Ah crap...looks like it (the powerful one) doesn't fit 2006+ anyway Censored. I though the bottom part was the same...I know the top is recessed around the grill on the 2006+ 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC
