England 2010 Range Rover TDV8 Vogue SE Auto Santorini Black
New TDV8 3.6 Vogue SE - 60 plate

Hi all,

Went and picked up my new FFRR from Lookers Park Royal, yesterday. Matthew gave us the tour etc; excellent service btw.

Really pleased with it, Santorini Black/ ivory leather/ privacy glass etc (have to sign up for a course on 'how to be a drug dealer' Smile ).

Still pushing buttons and reading manuals at the moment. Have to say again excellent service from Matthew at Lookers - sorry I still didn't get to meet you James.

Going out to play with it again!!

cheers

pete

Reading manuals??????? ....................................... get out there and enjoy the car man Rolling with laughter
You shouldn't need the manual if you got the same very thorough hand-over from Matt as I got too! Now the FFRR has morphed into a 2012MY RREvoque Dynamic Lux Plus Auto SD4 Coupe in Fuji White with full ebony interior

Blimey! I missed you! Embarassed

Just spotted this post and Matthew is off site (therefore can't ask him)....... what time were you in? I was in a meeting first thing to mid morning and then another last thing, so I guess it was then.

Car looked a million dollars. Cool

Best bet is to get used to the easy bits, and then when you have a couple of hours to sit quietly in the car with the manual, then you can go through the tech. It suprises me how many owners don't make use of some of the features of the car becuase they were not made aware of them at handover. There is so much to take in when the car is being handed over, and I suppose we can be accused of being too thorough!!

Things that I find useful are POI (Points of interest) on the Nav and some of the voice activation controls (especially zooming in and out on the Nav). Then there a few things that you can set up in the display (like KM's when in mainland Europe), also dual blade sun visors, Homelink, and suprisingly the heated steering wheel!

Apologies that we didn't meet. Thank you very much for your business and glad Matthew looked after you well.

@Tim - yes matt did give us the complete handover but it's a lot to take in Shocked 'er indoors doesn't help when she's asking me how does the telly work/what's this button do?? when i'm trying to steer through the roadworks on the M25 - but I've had a good play now and pressed all the buttons, been going up and down like a fairground ride Smile. (started to speak with a Puerto Rican accent and keep singing Low Rider LOL)

@ITlad - lol, they give free lessons in east london - you don't even need a car!!!!

@James - no problems, will probably see you when I book in for servicing etc. Have been doing what you suggested and getting used to the easy bits first also got the LR experience booked for late october so will hopefully learn a bit more then re offroad handling etc.

Luv the car, can't wait to take it over the channel and play some more.

cheers

pete
