would this type of navigation system fit a 2003 ?

Theoretically yes - though with the wrong fascia color and the fact that your MID functions are lost. I like it, tho. I'd consider something like this if I hadn't just retrofitted the full nav...

Edit: this model sits very low (has a high forehead Laughing ). This could be a prob with the lower dash pad - looks-wise if nothing else. Very cool features, tho. RRC 2Dr, RRC 4Dr,
P38, and LM
(wife thinks I'm nuts - prob right, too)

It is possible to retain your MID functions. Search for posts by me and you'll see the MID controller refitted in the back of the glove box. Don't ask me how it was done but it was effectively a cable extension and not a lot else. The steering wheel buttons still work as well with my Kenwood system.
