auto protect warranty

I am looking for any feedback on auto protect please.

The dealer signed me up for a 695 per year policy last week but it is paid monthly and has a cooling off period so I can pull out if needed.

The thing that makes me wary is that the policy claims to be unlimited miles and unlimited claims but a few posts on other forums suggest that they argue wear and tear at every opportunity and won't consider a claim until the vehicle reaches complete mechanical failure so if you notice a fault but it still drives then tough.

Can anyone support or deny this before I cancel? 2010 4.4 tdv8 - black / ivory

"unlimited miles and unlimited claims " I would be wary.

Look at WarrantyWise & Warranty Direct both offer better cover than Land Rover Extended.

I'm in my 4th year with them now..... They will give you a good price to renew at the end of the 12 months. I've paid £425 for 24 month cover, interest free.

So far they have done rear wiper motor, fuel pump, viscous fan, near side rear passenger door lock, off side rear door lock, the stuffed pixels in the instrument cluster and a few other bits I can't remember.

They will transfer the cover to my next car or will cover my current car with the new owner as required.

The only thing I have to do is prove the car is serviced as per manufacturers schedule....

That said, I've not claimed for anything massive, but no complaints so far.

Strange I could sell a 2003 Range Rover with 131k miles with a warranty..... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Thanks for the info, so from your experience the vehicle doesn't need to breakdown to make a claim?

I need to read my policy again to see what they say. 2010 4.4 tdv8 - black / ivory

I've not been able to find a number for auto protect to just ring up and get a warranty, they only seem to work through dealers and then offer renewals from then on.

My car wouldn't start when the fuel pump went, otherwise it was still drivable with the other faults. That said, there was no intermittent issues, ie the door locks didn't work on the rears at all, ie they did not sometimes work, if you see what I mean. Always broke......

The viscous fan was stuck on when that was changed...... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
