The old girl (TDV8) feels sluggish at 37 degrees but I should imagine the intercooler is working over time

Note the accidental setting of the cruise control at an over-taking speed

Ferry ride 24 hours Portsmouth to Santander and a quick 850 mile thrash down to Andalusia............. she is a delight to hold on cruise control  Currently running FFRR MY10 TDV8 3.6L and a Disco 3 XS Commercial (tank like but very effective as a Company van). Did 2000 miles last year in the pyrenees in a Defender, cruise control is brick on the accelerator and air con is elbow out the window!

We are hiding 40 minutes north west of Gibraltar towards Rhonda (miles from anywhere).

The old girl was showing between 27 and 28 mpg with the cruise at 135 clicks - which I thought was ok for a v8 diesel.

Been keeping auto gearbox in manual 6th gear when cruising at those speeds. It has an annoying habit of changing down to 5th on slight upward motorway inclines when it it really shouldn't be unnecessary. Almost too keen to please!

Spaniards not used to 2010 model. They have been doing a lot if staring as though not quite sure.
