Getting higher and higher in Spain!

First of all the temperature is going up....................

The old girl (TDV8) feels sluggish at 37 degrees but I should imagine the intercooler is working over time Rolling Eyes

Note the accidental setting of the cruise control at an over-taking speed Whistle

And if you are going to stick it on top of a mountain....... make it a big one!! Wink

Very nice holiday in Spain. Will have to bring her home (and the car) later next week. Never mind. Big Cry Currently running FFRR MY10 TDV8 3.6L and a Disco 3 XS Commercial (tank like but very effective as a Company van). Plus one mint condition Track Day Car in the form of an E36 M3 3.2L Evolution circa June 1996 with lots of go faster bits and only 52k miles on the clock! Oh, plus a few bits to make it slow down really quickly as well! Luvverly.

Beautiful car and what a great car to do the trip in! What sort of MPG did you get over the trip?

We are hiding 40 minutes north west of Gibraltar towards Rhonda (miles from anywhere).

The old girl was showing between 27 and 28 mpg with the cruise at 135 clicks - which I thought was ok for a v8 diesel.

Been keeping auto gearbox in manual 6th gear when cruising at those speeds. It has an annoying habit of changing down to 5th on slight upward motorway inclines when it it really shouldn't be unnecessary. Almost too keen to please!

Spaniards not used to 2010 model. They have been doing a lot if staring as though not quite sure. Bit like driving through the local UK chav estate! Currently running FFRR MY10 TDV8 3.6L and a Disco 3 XS Commercial (tank like but very effective as a Company van). Lovely part of Spain too, well away from the Costas and relatively undeveloped but it is also the location of Europes largest windfarm down at Tarifa! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes
