messing about with my lights over the weekend i found that by switching the ignition on and off many times flattened my battery, so as its 5 years old i'm looking for a new one...

so, do i get a 95ah with a cold crank of 800/850 [depends on make re cold crank] or a 110ah with a cold crank of 920 and a slightly longer case...there's approx £35/40 difference in price... ... - .- -.

go for the big one, I got a Varta think that was 920 or bigger, wasn't much more £ and you can hear the difference - especially worth while if you have a FBH when extra power really matters and on a cold a.m.

i think its only varta that does a 920 crank vogue, btw whats a FBH..  ... - .- -.

yep thats right, runs off diesel but needs battery power for the fan - FBH to pre warm your car on a cold frosty day and defrost al your windows - the most useful accessory yet - would rather go without wipers!

Fantastic especialy when we had minus 13 this last winter, mine activates by the remote control from about 1/4 mile away. Just hit the bitton 20 minutse before departure (or use the pre-set timer on the dash) and the car is warm, defrosted and very nice to get into. Also great after a night out, mine works from by the fire in my local! hit the button 15 mins before closing after my 2 halves of shandy...

kind of thing you need up there vogue, are you looking forward the this years snow then.. ... - .- -.

I recommend to Use the proper Varta battery nothing worse than a nice snowy morning thinking this is why I have a rangie and it wont start!
It happened to me last winter and I jumped it a few times but had to get a proper 110ah Varta to replace it. Not a single problem with starting after that, even with snow on the bonnet. I think the CCA is 850 ?

Bloody big though - like two batterys stuck together and really heavy! and only just fits - I had fun changing that in the snow!
