Anyone install a bigger engine in a Range Rover

Has anyone ever modified a Range Rover by installing a bigger engine?

Got the itch to do something to my FFRR. WARNING: Do not read this!!! Okay, you read it but make sure you don't read this bit.

No,

but I did fit a 4.2 lump in a Series IIa along with autobox. Why? Two reasons , firstly because I had an iffy knee at the time, secondly because some one said I couldn't who should know better Twisted Evil

Would I do it again.......... NO

Would I put a bigger engine in a FFRR..... Censored No!

Just buy a scary overfinch, life is too short.

Finishing off a Le Mans race car project in the next few month so would like something to replace it. Keep thinking about a BMW V12 in a Range Rover. Very Happy WARNING: Do not read this!!! Okay, you read it but make sure you don't read this bit.

Something like a 6.7 Powerstroke would be interesting - ~800 lb/ft with a factory-approved reflash.
