I got told off for covering my VIN by the police, so while it may seem good practice, they do not agree as it prevents them from identifying a vehicle (assuming number plates suspected fake). Land Rover Addict

I can't see a problem with it myself, if they (Police in the UK) want to look at it i'll remove the ticket for them see and explain why. Not sure how LEA in other countries would react though.

Or try situation two : Your vehicle has been stolen, is on fake plates and left parked up in full view while they wait ..... Inability to read VIN easily might hamper a rapid recovery Sad

The chance of that happening is probably less than 0.1% IMO, much more of a risk have improperly spaced letters on your vrm rendering ANPR useless when your car is driven away after being stolen. Hear what you say tho 2016MY TDV6 Autobiography

This is indeed one of the 2 2008 TDV8 L322 produced by Land Rover (both RHD), moreover this is the one used during recce in Mongolia in 2008.

It sports all VSE specs and was originalyfully fitted with G4 equipment: Roofrack, Hella Xenon roof lights, Mantec steering and tank guards, internal load guards, Goodyear MT/R tyres, Warn 9000XP Winch.

It was advertise mid 2009 byt Harwoods Land Rover in Kent for £47.000

I can confirm 100% this is the “real deal” and quite a unique piece. I would have left a card with my details to the owner, please do if you ever find it again - should the owner be willing to sell... Whistle
