The 6 months was more a psychological milestone Si, an overdue acceptance perhaps that enough was enough.

A lot of the 5.0 seem to be of similar mileage to our 4.2. The 4.2 is a superb car, as is the L322 overall.

Just put 12 month on mine,the mrs thought I should sell it as have had my fair share of problems but that may be the luck of the draw.Fortunately I know my spanners well and my mate is as good with the diagnostics as anyone on here but if you want a reliable car you could have had my previous old Vectra which I had 6 years ,changed the oil,brake pads and a few tyres and nothing else and it never let me down,i didn't even have breakdown cover,what a difference a car makes!!
