BMW car gearbox into rangie.. Will it fit?

Hi there.
This may seem like a daft question. I've searched but cannot find an answer.
Would a 5hp24 from a BMW 540 fit in place of my l322 unit?
I'm presuming the bell housing would need swapping over but is everything else identical?

No for sure. RRPhil, the forum gearbox specialist and expert has mentioned this many times. The BMW ZF box does not fit the RR or vice versa. Sorry.

He mentions it in below post on page 4 plus the explanation why
