Thermostat housing

Anyone else had the misfortune of a crack on the plastic thermostat housing Big Cry bit of pita job but while there he's doing two weeping pipes to the cooler on the top under pollen housing, hate being off the road three days already but last thing wanted is a bigger bill and a rebuild Shocked Thud _____________________________________________________

After taking the top off the engine and pipes etc there was a huge 1 cm pool of thick anti freeze gunk at the back around the cooler and a little at the front, also a couple of pipes had built a crust up around the ends no wonder it was taking a bit of water for a while Sad

Portugal 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue

Mine didn't crack

But I was warned about it by the mechanic, which replaced it as a safe measure when I had to take apart most of the items around the engine.
