tips on getting the coolant out

followed manual procedure and cant get anymore than 9 litres out of the system , and tips on getting more out?

currently refilling the 9 litres with water and running for a few days and re doing a few times to dilute the old stuff right down , 4 coolant changes will mathematically only leave about 1 litres of old, then I will refill with 8 litres of concentrate and 1 litres of distilled water

Blimey, I thought mine took a lot.... They don't seem to do Engine block drains any more so I suppose your going to struggle, what you are doing will be OK, just remember not to leave water in there on it's own too long...

Good luck Pete

Evans waterless coolant do a "prep" fluid that supposedly de_waters and prepare your system prior to using their waterless fluid, I don't know how it would faire in a tdv8 but I had it in my v8 petrol once and it seemed to work great.

Google their technical team.
