I can get 42mpg in my car on a run. But not overall as I need to drive back to the top of the hill again...

If you see what I mean. Thumbs Up

I thought the boxes only increased fuel consumption... Confused

If I was to get mine chipped, I would go here.

No increase in fuel consumption, but like Censored of a shovel, so I have heard.

I just got my car (a TD6), it seems to go very well (well anything would compared to my P38 DT Laughing ) so how would I work out if it's been chipped or otherwise?

0 to 62 mph takes about 12 seconds Rich. If it's about that then it's been left alone.
If it's been chipped it'll be noticably quicker.

My Td6 is unchipped and it's fine. Plenty fast enough for me.

That's what I was thinking, mine is plenty fast too.
I did need to chip the P38 though, it went from slow to brisk! Laughing

Sorry what was that 40 mpg f Censored ing bull s Censored t
Plug in boxes can only con the engine to over fuel and maybe hold off the waste gate , you can't make it more economical unless you change a whole lot more of it's running peramiters and that takes a re-map, and any way as the TD6 is a first generation common rail diesel it runs at 10,000 to 12,000 bar and the gains arn't as graight as on newer engines . 2008 MY Supercharged
