I guess the seals dry out and leak , which is what they are doing now.

Works fine - I do mine once a year when I put my winter wheels on - easy to do - just apply to a rag and wipe around

I was told vaseline is corrosive for the seals so not to use that - the gummi stuff is supposed to be good too, but not tried that.

Vaseline isn't the best stuff to put on rubber seals.

The silicone lube isn't a bad idea.

Their roof and gutter sealant is also a good non-setting windscreen sealant. Wink

Laughing Getting a bit OCD when the appearance of your rubber door seals starts to matter Whistle

The Wickes stuff makes them a bit blacker & more shiny - if that's your thing....... Rolling with laughter

thanks for the GUMMI tip , not too bothered about the appearance but its a service item that I want to keep up and my door seals will benefit from being a bit quieter.

There is a winzer wurth right near me so I can pick some up
