a quick question for debate...

is the 2007 MY update worth paying extra for?

there are plenty of 55 plate cars.. and it is a jump to the new 2007 model with revised interior...

is it worth it and was there anything else changed with the update?

I prefer the looks of the later style car including the revised dash and centre console...

...but, I do really miss the 3 way adjustable seats fitted to the earlier models - my current seats are nowhere near as comfortable.

Yes IMO its deffo worth it,seats,interior,dash,handbrake,storage etc.3 way adj seats aside its much better.  If you have nothing nice to say,say nothing at all.

agreed with Delamo 07 seats are a step backwards, digital TV dash - not fussed!

If its the same engine I'd keep my money! and or put it towards a 10MY where it is a difference worth paying the extra for

and the electronic 07 on handbrake is crap - everyone we've got has issues!

I prefer the later dash and obviously the TDV8 over the TD6. Electric handbrake needs to be kept well cleaned and adjusted if trouble is to be avoided.

Personally I would have bought an older car for the money but I have car allowance and the rules are <5 years old AND no more than 120k miles. Used to be OK with a private plate but they ask for a copy of the MOT every year now

10MY motors are really nice but then so is the price, a price which I would ruin with 40k miles a year. Massive depreciation.

If it were me, no car allowance, no rules etc I would probably find the nicest 06 plate car I could and run it for 5 years.

Talking of diesels...

I'd say it depends on what you do with the car or what kind of money you expect running a FFRR to cost.
Overall the 55 plate facelifted Td6 is far better value than the TDV8 I am buying and looks the same. Far cheaper to buy, just a bit noiser and slower. I know I am going to suffer higher depreciation with the new car.

The gadgets on the 07 are not that different, other than the electric handbrake and terrain response. It's mostly just a restyle on the inside. The TDV8 engine seems to be what causes the price difference between the two, but if you never had one anyway and don't want to spend a fortune I'd say a Facelift Td6 is a good and cheaper introduction to FFRR ownership. You just may want to trade up later at a fair cost when you get the bug...

Whilst looking for a S/C, we had the same choice to make.
However, the lack of electric handbrake, and the better adjustments on the seats made the desicion to go for a late 2006 model.
Dont care about Terrain response, and digital TV was a very easy upgrade from one of the members on here.
That and the price difference made for an easy desicion.
