My thoughts were ease of access to the footage, without the need to remove cards and plug into computers. Basically I was was thinking with my lazy head, once the cam is set up, leave the bloody thing alone so that nothing can go wrong. Plus, I could see the possibility of being able to send footage instantly via multi media, and if the police were involved, being able to show what had occurred on something bigger than a postage stamp Wink Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... The biggest problem i found with dash cams, was finding one that didn't have some huge monstrosity of a windscreen mount.

The Eprance was about the only cheap one i could find that had a discrete one. Blackvue has a nice mount but, that was 5 times the price.

Have a word with Eric at www.dashwitness.com he's the expert and I have these in all my cars/lorries.
One in the RR paid for itself in getting money at small claims court out of a skip lorry that forced me off the road, damaging my alloys. judge took one look at the video, job done!!
