2010 - sat nav screen not turning on

Hi guys

2010 5.0sc. The sat nav screen does not turn on, even though the radio works fine. If I press the left hand side knob, the radio just switches on or off, but the screen itself does not turn all at all. Is it a fuse?

Thanks in advance

Have you checked your voltage, mine is doing a lot of "funny" moves if there is a low voltage. Try to charge it over night with a battery charger. Range Rover TdV8 Autobiography MY2010

Might sound daft but have you tried unplugging the DVD , or checked the connections in the boot area ... ====================================

"Open Mike Night " sounded like a lot of fun until i found out i was going to an Autopsy

Took it to a specialist today and they plugged in the diagnostics. Found no fault!
Then disconnected the battery to reset it, but that didn't fix it. I will charge the battery overnight and see tomorrow if that helps.
Thanks guys

You can also try these guys.

http://www.bba-reman.com/uk/index.aspx

They repair most vehicle electronic modules, they also have a part of their site dedicated to display units.

You can send off your current screen for repair. Or at the very least it says they'll buy your broken one.

I've used them for a couple of bits (went there in person) they seemed very professional.

stan I'm sure you've heard this but you are the man! Bow down

I was just browsing the forum trying to find a solution to my nav rebooting (just started on Friday) and happened across your post. Worked a treat and thankfully will have the radio for the 1800 mile round trip to the highlands this weekend.

If I'm ever passing your way I owe you a pint or two. Ed

Thanks - I have sent them an email but I guess I have to remove it first. How big a job is that?

The top dash cover has a few obvious screws holding it on and then the screen comes out through the top. I've not done it myself, but it doesn't look as bad as it first appears.
