2002 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Adriatic Blue

Annoying hiccup on radio/music etc

When I have the radio or other music on there is a mini pause about every 4 to 5 seconds, the middle left lcd where P1 is also disappears at the same time.
This is on the pre-touch screen version. any ideas? Current 2002 Range Rover Vogue
Gone Renault Grand Scenic, Smart Car, Swift Kontiki Motorhome, 2001 Nissan Terrano.
