Better to have snow than this Censored rain.

Water does not do my gun any good and I want to go shooting on Sunday

2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

Apart from some showers on Monday and dense fog this morning we have had some lovely weather here. Last Saturday up in the Lochgilphead Forest it was like mid-summer after the early morning frost had been warmed up, I wished I had Park Heat, heated seat, heated front and rear screens and heated steering wheel in the 90 at 7am Saturday Laughing

If they only tried they would get the Range Rovers up there too (we took an RRS round most of that route except up onto that plateau because the way down is very very scratchy!) ok so they may get one or two small scratches........................ Turn right off the A83 just beyond the Lochgair hotel (if you have the keys and permission from FE!) follow the forest tracks until they disappear and just keep driving and you will get there! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Ashcrofts do an auto conversion for the Defender for about 5k. Thumbs Up

I nearly went this route, but didn't want to radically alter the Camel.
Still tempted to get an auto 90 if one comes up at the right price...

I have seen several Ashcroft conversions recently in classifieds - on TD5's and TDi300's so used ones are available. Even better would be a 50th Anniversary 90 V8..................... auto only and made at the factory! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

...and thirsty and I've never liked the torque of a V8 petrol Defender offroad. Too much revving all the time compared to plodding in a Diesel. My personal choice of course, or I'm out of touch as I love the 300Tdi for a utility. Thumbs Up

300Tdi, nice and simple with no electronics too!, and enough power and torque for most folks. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes
