New arrival in the family

I've just been told that my brother-in-law, who is a dyed in the wool BMW man, has just bought my sister a 2007 Range Rover, Black on Black with drug baron glass and lightly tinted front side glass.............. 10,000 miles on it, I assume it's a TDV8 and not an S/C. This is after I took my sister out for a very short drive in mine! She has never driven anything bigger than a Toyota Celica before and normally only has sports cars! I believe she has taken to the RR like a duck to water. Will try and get some photos when i see them - they only live 11 miles away but often I only see them about 2-3 times ayear as they run 2 pubs, a shop and 9 B&B cottages (with the help of 30 staff and their 7 children) on the West Highland Way on the east side of Loch Lomond. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

The only other British built car they have ever owned was an MG TF1.6........................... it ran for nigh on 200,000 miles and never missed a beat although it missed lots of services! It was written off by one of my nephews on the only time he was ever allowed to drive my one sister's sportier cars. My sister has only ever owned sporty Toyotas apart from that MG so they might have to get used to the odd gremlin!

With D3's and RRSport's the effect was known as "Permagrin" 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Hmm, been meaning to take the wife on a romantic trip (if I don't trade her on an Evoque) and been meaning to visit Scotland for quite some time now. Maybe you need to pass on info on the B&B. Does she give a discount to FFRR drivers now that she owns one herself? Whistle

Well I've just seen the car.........................
Range Rover, yes......................
L322 Range Rover, no..................
P38A Range Rover, no........................
RR Classic, no

No wonder they couldn't tell me which variant it was because it doesn't have any badging below the SPORT badge Rolling with laughter It's a very nicely specced up Sport S with factory tints, leather, nav and PTi, the previous owner also had the good sense to leave it on the original 18" wheels and I had a job persuading them not to change to bigger wheels as my brother-in-law wants to do. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes
