IPhone pairing problems

I'm having problems with my iPhone4 not always pairing with the car, either by cable or bluetooth even though the B/T is switched on and the car is remembered in the phone. Often I will get into the car and drive away and I can get an incoming call that I am only aware of by the phone quietly ringing in the cubby box. This happens whether I use the cable connection or just B/T. Is it the phone or the car that is the problem? At the moment the only way for me to guarantee a connection between car and phone is to manually find the car using the iPhone. Once paired there is no problem and all contacts etc are transferred, it's just the hassle of having to manually discover the car to pair every time I get in. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

I had a similar problem with my old iPhone 3g when I first got present RR. Had the RR software updated at the stealer and all worked fine. Have an iPhone 4 now and no problems at all.

Hope it helps. You might get stung for £40 -£50 though!!

Sometimes sending from an iPhone causes echos on the forums Mr. Green thanks Stocky, but mine's a 2010 so I hope it's bang up to date with the software but I'll mention it to the local dealer next time I'm in there 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

It's the phone. Have a Blackberry has no issues, the iPhone just randomly or doesn't play. No rhyme or reason. Land Rover Addict

It's working fine today and I haven't touched the settings, in fact today it didn't even get connected by the cable, just by the B/t and no problems.................. contrary thing the iPhone is 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Indeed, mine seems to work if I am NOT needing it to be working, but when I really do no amount of car/phone rebooting will make it play! Land Rover Addict

I bought and installed a Parrot RKi8400 http://www.parrotshopping.com/uk/p_parrot_item.aspx?i=183253 in the 90 when the Kenwood radio died, it synchs with the iphone without a hitch first time every time, whether I have it plugged into the iPhone/iPod connector or use the bluetooth, it even synchs iTunes over the bluetooth 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Just this morning I had an acquaintance with a MY05FFRR and the upgraded BT module tell me that his BT worked very well since the upgrade - until he updated the iPhones FW to 4.XX. Now the BT is much weaker, but it still seems to work well if he leaves the iPhone on the rear seat Rolling Eyes

I am having this bluetooth software patch done next week FREE OF CHARGE, i just reminded the dealer that when i bought the car he assured me i simply had to transfer the phonebook.......nothing else obviously this is not the case and also sent him the official RR instruction sheet for the update.

No arguments from him, "just bring it in and we will take care of it for free" he said
