No Power after changing breather to Vortex one

Hi All

this morning I changed the crank case breather for the Vortex one. After starting the engine it feels as if the turbo vanes are stuck. Vehicle was pulling normally before.

Any suggestions.

Thankful for any pointers Bow down

Could it be the vacuum pipe to the turbo?

From about 2500rpm she pulls fine.

As Stan said.

First check though if all the hoses in that area are on, tight, free of cracks/tears etc. While doing the work you may have accidentally damaged one or more hoses and that could be causing the issue.

If that is all clear, check the new Vortex for anything stuck in it, like blind plugs or packing material. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Hi All

thank you for the feedback. I feel like a dodo.

I checked the pipes to the vacuum tank and from the valve body to the turbo actuator. they were new (I bought the car 2.5 months ago).

But I never checked the short vacuum pipe between the tank and the vacuum valve. and presto, when they fitted the new vacuum pipes they obviously forgot to change that one. It was so brittle, the the slightest touch cracked it. I must have pushed it with my lead light when fitting the air cleaner top cover.

Here are some pics of old and new breather and that pipe.

Thanks for the tips and especially to ebajema Bow down
