seat repair

Hi had the problem of cracked plastic .
I repaired mine quite sucksessfully using a two pack epoxy plastic glue. Uni bond I think it was, it has held sofar.
Now the next bit sounds like a bodge but trust me it works and you will be amazed at the result
When you make your trip to B&Q for the glue, take the pannel with you, go to the paint section where they can make you a test pot up to match your pannel up in vinal silk emulsion. £3
When you get it home after you have done the repair, clean the pannel and quickly flat it off well with 800 wet and dry.if you have a £5 air brush thin it with 10% distilled water and spray it, if not try a mini roller.or stipple it with a brush

Let it dry, you can either fit it and it will hold up fine, or buy a rattle tin of satin clear laquer to finnish it with a few dryis dustings.
This sound a bit of a bodge but it works and the results are brilliant.
I watched one of the chip repairer companies do a repair on my wifes BM thats where I first got the idea Eddie the eagle watch out 👀

Try and buy a second hand passenger side one from the US or continental europe. Passenger side ones rarely wear, and of course the passenger side one from a LHD car will fit the Drivers seat on our RHD ones.

I got a new genuine one recently from island 4x4 a lot cheaper than dealer prices.
