Thank you sir for that Thumbs Up

I just went down to try again loading my horse....daughter went to catch her up while I opened the doors of trailer, took hold of horse and.....................up she goes in the box, less that 3 minutes Cool
Now after yesterday's 40 minutes I'm surprised but pleased she will without planning an hour ahead!

Back on topic, a few pictures.

Breast bar can not be adjusted unless I fettle about and make new bars, maybe curved not flat like they are on this?

horse loaded and did not move for these 2 pictures below.

If you do need to re-think, I can recommend a Wessex Trailer. http://www.wessex-trailers.co.uk/ (No mention of horse trailers on their website currently, seemingly as they've suspended production pending Type Approval.) Wink

Bought an "Olympian" from a friend to replace our 505 Classic when it was written off. Better quality and construction than the Ifors. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

A couple more inches would be nice. Have a look at the Ifor spares catalogiu - they do breast bars and keepers from stock and the breast bars can be cut down if they're too long (ask me how I know Shocked ).

You could then mount the breast bar at an angle as your centre partition isn't that long and hey-presto.

I wouldn't travel without some padding on the breast bar and the Ifor jobbies come complete so much more comfy that your present set up.

Nice looking horse by the way Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Newer breast / rump systems are designed to break at a pre-determined weight (less than 200kg I seem to think). This is in case your horse had a hissy fit and decides to go over the breast bar at which point it will become stuck if the bar holds and you really down want to be trying to release the catches next to a panicking horse. Have a wee perusal of the IWT website for spares and you may be pleasantly suprised!!

I believe Wessex, Richardson and Rice are alll stable mates with mainly cosmetic differences. Mind you, I've yet to find another Rice identical to our - if I could I'd probably buy it!!!

Just had a quick look and yep their bars look much better and safer too if horse gets on top of them.

Might not need to change trailer after all, 4 new brackets and 2 bars ( Ifor 506 half bars will fit in the stalls ) and job done. Thumbs Up

Cheers sir for the heads up on the parts. Thumbs Up Bow down If it dont work.......burn it!
