A potential concern has been identified with the installation of the blindspot monitoring system and the possibility of water ingress into the blindspot monitoring control module. This affects a number of 2015 model year Discovery 4, Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover Evoque vehicles.

Looking at the service instruction, the rear bumper has to be removed and then the Blind Spot Monitoring sensors need to be replaced...

Mine's affected too Big Cry

Mine is booked in. Pretty costly I imagine - wouldn't have thought those parts are cheap!

So what has changed in order for this fault to arise?

Has the module been relocated to a vulnerable area, or has it been modified in design?

Of more concern, has it been ordered from a cheaper supplier?

Surely JLR have a programme of continuous product improvement, in which case earlier L405's (pre 2015) would or could have experienced more faults such as this and thus eliminated them.

If I buy another 405, I expect it to be less trouble than the one I have, with updates and engineering quality to match the price and be reliable. This is the opposite.

Q470v2 has been released. Mine has had Q470 completed already but Topix is now indicating it needs another recall. Does it seriously need to go back in and have Version 2 as well?!
