Should the l322 have underbonnet sound deadening?

Should my FF have some sort of sound deadening on the underside of the bonnet? It doesn't have one and wondered if it was missing? Thanks

Yes there should be a big black/dark grey padded wad under the bonnet

Looks like I need to find myself one then as will obviously help quieten the engine down also.

Thanks mate, is that part of it or the whole thing? As looks like it only covers part of the bonnet?

Can't be as expensive as one I need for my concourse ford escort. A brand new underbonnet sound deadening reached £860 recently. In the 90s they were £35 from Ford.
