United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Vogue SDV8 Luxor
Dog guard

I am about to get a new dog!
I guess I will need to get a dog guard and there is quite a variety on ebay. DO I need to get a genuine Land Rover one or do the cheap copies work OK?

Any advice appreciated?

Hi
I picked up a genuine full size fo £60, I would go for one of these from the flee bay, as they seem to go reguly for less than £100 SC 4.2, 2012 face lifted, 25K miles, 1 previous owner

If it's tailor made for the Range Rover it should be fine (they're hardly complex engineering), but the generic fit any car ones aren't normally all that great

How do they fit? are there any holes to drill or permanent fitting?

We've got a RR retractable net guard
Pick up for a reasonable price from a member here Very Happy
But the fixing kit is the killer money, but the whole thing is intergrated, does the job and is realatively discrete when retracted

I got the top half type from a member on here. Easy to fit, they just hook into the brackets in the riff then strap down at the bottom.

It should be easy to pick up a decent second hand one for £50ish

The full height ones attach to the lashing points at the bottom and you'll see some plastic covers in the headlining for top mounts.

I ended up with a dog cage rather than a dog guard after the dog scratched at the rear window and ruined the radio reception. Luckily my insurance company accepted my claim for damaged glass but if you have a large dog it is worth thinking about a cage.

good point, also means you can open the back up at motor way services to air the car out.
