Rolling Eyes Errrr, Wots wrong with a reasonable condition 'E' Type, there is no way that will drop in value, unless you introduce it to a wall at 50 Mph Shocked

A lot cheaper to run than an Italian and less of a head ache than a Jensen or an Aston (both hand made, and one had a different make of parts almost every build) at least with the Jag you can get the bits Thumbs Up

Funnily enough i broke my “E type” cherry the other week! Never been in one Shocked

Quite a nice surprise... A series 1 semi lightweight... I didn’t talk £££ with the owner (a friend of mine) but i believe you need decent six figure budgets these days to join that club Shocked

The mk 1's are silly money especially the flat floor one's and the 3.8's, but the 4.2 mk2's are better value and there is always the chance of a good mk 3 V12 drop head for that budget. Granted the Mk 3 will not go up in price as much as the earlier models, but they are still going up in price all the same.

I know a chap that races E Types, and prepares them for others, the last time I was there he had a hand built all aluminium bodied roadster with hard top Bow down (when I say all aluminium that is not entirely correct, it still had a steel bulkhead and sills, every thing else was ally) I didn't go there on the price Wink Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer...
