Changing Navigation disk question

Hi all

I've ordered a 2011/2012 navteq disk which should be arriving soon,
I've seen that the disk unit is located in the rear of the car, when changing is it just a case of ejecting the older disk and inserting the new one?bor would it have to update the system, I can only seem to see a walk through for the RRS (not sure if it's the same system)

Cheers

James

The 2011/2012 disc has some updates to the software as well as the maps. It will take a few minutes to install, so be patient. Stan is absolutely right on the install steps.

Officially you buy them from here;

http://landrover.navigation.com

Which is where Land-Rover point you to in their handbooks. The site is managed by Here Maps (formerly Nokia), they offer the same service for various manufacturers as, Here supply map data to most of the Sat Nav manufacturers.

I think they can be bought at

mod edit, link deleted..

Nothing illegal about them (I think)

But there must be a thread somewhere on here, I had a quick look but can't find it.

Couldn't you give the guy another 10 minutes Stan...... Laughing

Sorry I did not know that there was a difference between older and newer cars and sat nav discs.
One learns every day isn't it

Thumbs Up
