Will ask Harwoods on Friday about the brake fluid and see what is/isn't included in the recall.

at Harwoods now - the story here is they will only change the fluid in the affected calipers. So if one or both of the front hoses need changing, they will also change the fluid for that corner of the car.

There is an exhaust trim recall too, but apparently it only affects a very small percentage of re-called cars.

Same story here with the fluid and Harwoods at Tonbridge.

Oh and by the way sir you need three new tyres, the water pump is leaking and needs replacing (£500) and you need all your discs and pads replacing (£1200 Shocked ). Checked tyre prices (Pirelli Scorp Zero's) and Kwik Fit are doing them for £168 a corner at the mo, good price. Think I may be doing the Brakes/Pads myself using OEM bits from Eurocarparts Rolling Eyes SDV8 AB MY 2019

Was just having a read of this thread and although mine is an 05 thought i would check my vin quickly and mine was a few digits before the start of the recall, but less than 10. I decided to phone my MD just to see what they said......... As usual very pleasant and was informed my car was covered under the P054 recall and is going in Thursday.

So for anyone who thinks their car may not be covered, maybe it is......? They said 2.5 hours, worth it for a free health check and a wash me thinks

Do you know if this is a world wide recall, or "just" for the UK? I've not heard of anyone here in Norway that has got a mail from LR regarding this.

Just had mine done in Abu Dhabi Looking for FFRR

Mine was done by Harwoods Basingstoke on Friday - Freelander 2 exchange car for the day (£15 insurance fee), and a free full wash and valet including a box of mints! Overall, very good service by them, and I'd probably take my car there for servicing if I didn't have such a good Indy in the village where I live. Well done Harwoods!

Fanders

PS. Their tech said that they'd done quite a few P054 brake hose swaps, and that they had found one on the verge of splitting - so well worth having this recall done.

Had mine done today by dealer in Ascot. Picked up and dropped off so no flash loaner.

All good, no hassle and given it a wash too.

Only just stumbled across this. Interesting as the FF has been to Stratstone Hainault (see comments elsewhere) twice since the recall notice but, of course, heard nothing from them at all.
Rang Lookers Battersea who responded within an hour & all booked in (+ free health check + free wash!). More anon.

Mines into Taggarts today, gave me a brand new evoque as a courtesy car, not impressed with it at all

But on a more positive note, only advisory was front brake pads and new set of wiper blades so not complaining
