250 km/h in a Range Rover

Found a long stretch of Autobahn today, no traffic save for the odd car or two and thought let's see what she's got. At 170 km/h (around 106 MPH) it starts to get a bit noisy around the door frame and managed to get to 250 km/h (156 MPH) in no time, car is very stable at that speed and very comfortable, no fuss, I could have taken her a bit faster but had to back off, a Panamera whose driver hired the left lane for the day got in the way and I had to take the next exit. Speed was actual speed recorded by satellite and not the speedo which was beyond the markings.
I know, I know, a Range Rover shouldn't be driven in such a way but was just curious to see what the Vmax was.
Note: This was in Germany on an unrestricted motorway with no traffic and clear weather with good visibility so no I didn't put anyone else in danger and didn't do anything illegal.

Wow that's brave. Does the ride height drop when over a certain speed? I seem to recall reading that that happened with the L322 although I may be imagining it. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

The earlier, up to and including 2005 at least, drop when the speed consistently exceeds 65 mph. John

Wasn't that the same in the P38? I seem to remember you really feel it drop as you accelerated down the mway slip road.

Shocked Wow. Nice!

I see you have the SC. I wonder if the diesels would have been able to keep up.

I don't think there is an electronic limiter I think it's a disclaimer. I asked my main Dealer when I got mine as I have a set of 20s for off road use and they were not aware of an electronic choice.

I was of the understanding that UK cars at least were limited to 120 or 130 MPH as an agreement between JLR & the government... Whistle
