United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey
[SOLD] 2002 Range Rover Vogue V8 M62

FOR SALE

2002 ‘02’ Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 (BMW M62 Engine)

Adriatic Blue with Cream leather interior and blue piping. Cherry wood trim

110,000 miles, MOT until May 2016, no advisories on last MOT

Service history by Land Rover for first few services then Independent specialist. Serviced by myself over the last 4 years over which time it has been serviced 3 times but has only done 10k miles. Engine nice and smooth with lots of power and drives lovely.

When I first bought it in addition to the normal service it also had a new radiator, coolant change and drive belts and tensioners changed. The rubber breather hoses were changed at the top of the engine and the troublesome short coolant pipe was changed.

Next service was a simple oil change service (not actually due but I don’t like to leave oil changes more than 18mths irrelevant of miles done)

Has now just been serviced again with oil and filters plus spark plugs changed.

In addition over the last 5k miles the following work has been carried out;

- New upper and lower control arms both sides on the front
- New front discs
- Less than 6 mths ago a brand new genuine Wabco compressor was fitted (very quickly raises to std from access mode)
- Brand new BCM module fitted to rectify a problem with the indicators. Turned out to be an LCM fault which has also now been rectified
- New battery last year

I’m sure there is more, I will update as I remember

All original handbooks/manuals. Only 1 key

Interior:

Heated electric front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, heated front windscreen, electric folding and heated wing mirrors with auto dip when car in reverse
Cruise control, Bi-xenon headlights with headlight wash/wipe, automatic windscreen wipers, multi-function control steering wheel, electric windows all round, Elec sunroof
Genuine Land Rover floor mats
Rear entertainment system with wireless headphones (included) which I purchased and tested when I bought the car and have never used again. (I don’t have kids!). 6 Disc changer in the boot above the sat nav system. Remote control to change disc/play/stop etc.

The interior and leather seats are in excellent condition for its age with the rear seats looking like brand new. Front driver’s seat has some slight discolouration on the edge but is better than some 70k ones I have seen. The plastic base that holds the seat controls has a crack in it but does not affect the operation of the seat in any way. Pictures of this to follow.

The only two faults with the interior that I am aware of is that the Radio module does not work (£80 fix from various companies and is a 10 minute job to remove/refit. This is a very common BMW/L322 problem). The other is that the pixels in the dash do not always show completely, again a common problem but has never bothered me all of the information can be seen on the main screen.

Exterior:

19” factory fitted Vogue alloys
Stainless Steel side bars
Mud flaps front and rear
Graduated privacy glass
Front and rear park distance control
Detachable tow bar but of the Westfalia receiver hitch type. When I purchased this it still had the Westfalia ball on which looked to be never used! I have towed a small trailer once or twice. Mainly just used for my bike carrier. Tow electrics are genuine so have trailer light check control/stops rear fog coming on/over rides air suspension

Bodywork is in general excellent condition and does not have any of the normal parking scrapes on front or back bumpers. The only area that is not excellent is the bonnet where an area of paint in the middle the lacquer has crazed. There are some stone chips to the front bumper as would be expected for a car of its age.

The Range Rover has been my second car until recently and treated as a Sunday luxury toy. My new work car park prevents me from getting my Defender in so the Range Rover has been on daily duty for a couple of months.

Reason for sale is that I have decided to treat myself to a 2010 MY TDV8 now I have my new job J

The personal number plate has been changed back to the original 02 plate

Price:

£4,750 Which is what I am hoping to get if I trade it in (put here in case anyone is interested/if I find a TDV8 privately and cannot trade in)

The car is located near Ipswich

More pictures to follow at the weekend when I can wash it again

Sam

I do knot know re the gearbox. I know I haven't in the time I have owned it.

I drove 120 miles yesterday to look at some TDV8's and managed 22mpg Smile

5 speed. To my knowledge all of the m62 v8's and all TD6's were 5 speed?

She's a beauty!

Are the front side windows tinted?
Is the tow hook rated for 3.5t?
Cargo cover / parcel shelf still there?

I am very interested.

Cheers

Carsten
