TLC on the seats

When i purchased the FF I knew that the drivers seat needed some TLC and with good reviews I purchased Liquid Leather's Scuffmaster Kit.

Once I had cleaned the seat with the LL cleaner they looked even worse and the door handles even more so

I decided to water down a small amount as I felt that it would soak into the leather better and also be easier to apply/blend. After a couple of coats I could see a difference and became more confident in applying the dye.
I decided to use the neat stuff and with a small sponge just dabbed it on the worse areas and let it absorb/dry out and the stippled affect from dabbing disappears. A couple more coats and then one of the watered down solution to blend into the whole seat.
I did try and mask off the piping but nothing I had stuck that well. Found that a damp cloth removed the dye really easily before it had time to dry.

The front passenger seat had a few marks which covered over with a couple of coats, but did not need to blend across the whole seat - confidence growing with blending the dye in a small area Very Happy

the door handles needed 3 coats of neat dye and looked a lot better

Before

After

There were a few marks on the glove box and door cards and was able to cover them with the same dye. I even used some on the load space cover where it had got grubby, around the middle handle, and wouldn't clean up. Regards
Mark

Thanks Guys.

I am really impressed by the finish and the colour match, considering the colour it looks like in the bottle. also on all the other surfaces that it works with.
I still got an area that I want to sort out around the ignition. Got a semi circular black line where the top surface coating has been rubbed off.

May even offer a service to fellow members Thumbs Up Regards
Mark

@gregdav - just noticed your location. If you have ivory leather then feel free to try some of the dye I have. Regards

Thanks for the offer mark only just noticed your location.
Pity mines a sand interior, I have been looking at this for a while now. I've just showed the wife what you have been able to do, she's also very impressed. You've spurred me on to have a go myself.
Cheers. Greg. Thumbs Up

Nice result. Thumbs Up

I did a refurb on mine a while back (in the Wiki section) but have been thinking of touching up the handles/arm rests and this could be an easy solution.
