Brake pad and disc set for L322 2002 4.4 V8

My discs are looking a little sad and I`m getting fed up with the brake squeal so decided I`m going to replace all discs and pads.

Had a look through the various threads here and a few places on line but this option looks to be as good as any for the standard stuff.

"Premium quality" is the only thing to be concerned about....

Maybe fine though, think I'd ask Dan at Duckworths for a price for OEM stuff, he's usually pretty good.... Pete

For anyone interested the ebay £159 set I mentioned above come with All Makes discs which sounded more like no makes than anything else.

Dan was good but In the end I found a chap selling genuine Land Rover Stock clearance for a fraction of the new price.

Got a pair of front and rear discs for £130 delivered so just had to go with those at that price.. Got some decent pads to match.Dont have a heavy duty jack so will be dropping the local garage a line on Monday to get these fitted. Looking forward to bedding in the new kit.

Interesting to see the wear indicator on the genuine discs.

Yeah the FF's are addictive. Pain about your water pump.

I found myself getting all excited when the parts arrived this morning I ended up buying a new steering wheel off ebay in the moment. The old beast is getting a bit of love these last few months. Had new radiator and top hose last month and also replaced a noisy clicking idler pulley.

How long did it take you to change all? I'm expecting £60/hr and no more than certainly no more 2 hours from the garage. So shouldn't be too bad.

The ebay £159 set are Mintex parts. Never really liked Mintex, have an unreasonable aversion to them.

Brembo
Bosch
Delphi
Ferodo
ADL
Febi
Pagid
ATE
Textar

Is what you should look for.

Hopefully getting the pump done tomorrow Very Happy It took just over 4 hours to do, but this was using a trolley jack and axle stands and about 1.5hrs of that was spent getting the seized caliper pins out! So a garage with a ramp will hopefully be significantly less Thumbs Up SDV8 AB MY 2019

Don't have that problem with the earlier, much better built, FF's, they didn't have a pin set up to hold the pads in...

read "much better built" with sarcasm.....!!!! Pete
