Camera & housing

I have been given a back tailgate spoiler with a built in camera off a 59/60 plate Range Rover.
It has been stripped bare of everything in a robbery and the shell is going to be crushed.
The spoiler is badly damaged but the reversing camera is fine. I would like to remove it and fit it to my spoiler, but can't seem to see how you remove it from the housing.
There are two square holes either side of the camera.
Do you poke something down each of those holes and remove the camera that way, or is there something I am missing?
I can't get it to budge at all. Don't want to prise and do any damage.

Thanks for that Stan. I have just had a look. The camera I have is off the later model/is a different camera.
I can feel the rivet that you need to drill out, but I need to remove the camera from the housing first to get to the rivet to drill it out.

This is the camera.

These are the slots where it looks like you put some removal pins in (similar to old car radio removal pins). Someone has already had a go at it before I got it given.

found this,

Once the spoiler has been removed you need to undo the single screw that holds the camera in the mounting bracket, then ease the sides of the mounting bracket apart to release the clips. Eventually the clips will release and you can pull the camera out of the mounting.

granted its for a 2006 camera but it should be the same..

Vaz what type of camera is it? Is there a power plug and a fakra type coax lead or a bigger type plug? If its the bigger type of plug then that will be from a car with vision assist, that means the camera is far more complex & wiring it will be far more difficult if even possible... If it has the simple wiring then its quite straight forward Thumbs Up

To remove from holder you do simply put the removal tool down each side and it just pops out, then its a case of drilling out the rivet fixing it in place Thumbs Up

A quick question! Would it not be feasible to have the spoiler painted to fit your car? It would save an awful lot of messing about mounting it to your spoiler! All for £50 maybe £75 to paint it your cars colour (if its not the same already!) Whistle

Stan. Thanks for the info. I know of the camera and screw that you have to remove, but it doesn't have a screw so must be a later camera.
Craig, luckily the camera has a small co-ax connector and a two pin power plug.
I have thought of using the spoiler but it has been dropped on a corner and being made of fibreglass has made a bit of a mess of it. I suppose a body shop could repair it and respray it (it is black).
I will have a think about it before removing it.
To both of you, thanks for the help.
Regarding the vehicle it came from. I would have been totally Censored if it was mine, completely stripped bare, but they left the headlining in which is leather.
If mine had a sun roof, I might have been tempted to remove and fit it in mine, it was unmarked.
