Dare you to fit a gigglepin 8274 ( twin motor)....They are stupidly quick mate, have one on the 90, brill kite it is. But the g 10 on our 110 will pull a house off its foundations Laughing

Good luck in your search Thumbs Up If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Had an 8274 on my classic, before Gigglepin though... bought it for £50... Big Cry Big Cry too busy working to use it so flogged it with the truck....

Can't justify spending more than half the cost of the FF on a winch unfortunately....

If you're willing to go new I had a Champion (now Warrior) 10,000lbs winch on my 110 for a while. Slow but stupidly strong and cheap (maybe £200 new I think). Was laning with the chap last Saturday and had the same comment, very slow but no hint of struggling or failing. And I abused that winch, sat out in the rain, never got washed etc and always worked.

Did once open it up, everything looked fine so put it back together with original grease etc. Ed

Ed

That is probably the way it will go, had a couple of them before and as you say pretty slow but that doesn't make too much odds in an auto, bit of a pain having to slip the clutch in a manual to drive with it but for the fatty it should be fine, they do do a HS version which has a larger motor and different gearing and funnily enough the identical load and no load speed of the 8274... had one on my last Disco and it was very good....

I asked here and a few other places just on the off chance... you never know.... Thumbs Up Pete
