Dash Cam

Does anyone have a Dash Cam on their RR?

I'm thinking of getting one considering the number of loonies on our roads are on the up

Blackvue aren't cheap and are getting slated on the dashcam sites as they refuse to offer the features their customers are asking for Sad

Im trying to find a Dr600gw or DR550GW as the custom firmware for them makes them a better camera than the newer models Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

They may do OK in standard form but after my 400 munched itself due to heat i'd rather have the ability to push the bit rate and then drill air holes in it to help it last longer Smile

how are you guys with 2ch routing the cable to the rear unit? under the floor or roof lining and are you running powermagics as well? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

if you have heat problems Will then get one with a capacitor rather than a battery like my A118C 'wedge' dashcam.. ... - .- -.

The next one will have a small heatshield and additional vent holes Stan as it will be on all the time recording Smile

Just takes some time to wait for another cheap lot of DR600GW's to come up for sale or even refurb ones. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I'm currently looking at the Blackvue too. Either the 2ch DR650GW or the DR750LW. These have the capacitors built in as the power source.

I'd have thought routing the cable round the headlining would be the easier option.
