Collection is from 2pm and return is by 10am
If the camper isn't hired before or after we can be flexible on the times

It's a great idea hiring the camper...
My thoughts on the timings... Picking up at 2pm limits your travelling on the first day. Having to return by 10am means your last night has to be almost on your doorstep. I would not be hiring out on a return day. Previously..

We picked the times for starting and ending the hire based on most others and to give us a chance to get it 100% clean for the next people. We need to allow people to change over on the same day, even if they take it for a week it starts Friday to Friday etc. If there is no other bookings then I'm happy to accommodate people's requests.

We're looking at buying one of these. Do you find them reliable? How hard wearing is the interior?

Hi the vw California's / transporters etc are pretty reliable.
All California's suffer from roof corrosion ( well known issue) vw will repair the corrosion for free as long as it's reported before its 6 years old. Our's is on the list to be repaired (rough cost £5500).
The interior is pretty solid and well built. Best thing to do is try before you buy, you could easily buy a coach built camper for the same money but the cali has a very big following so prices are strong. I would sell mine as I have been offered a newer one(not on the market).
If you want to know more just ask.
Thanks

Thanks - currently thinking of buying a facelifted T5 and doing the conversion ourselves. That way we get exactly the spec and layout that we want.

A lot of people do that then you get 100% what you want. Lots of conversion companies out there, now is the time to buy one out off season

If you want to get someone to do the work, take look at Three Bridge Campers , they appear to be flexible about their builds , which are stunning, with lots od new ideas . They had a LWB Infinity for sale recently , pricey but worth a look.

Shame about the lower age limit, my 24 year old son is desperate to do some touring and this is always the stumbling block. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
