Good luck with this.

They are good and pretty well built.

If misused then the camping side of the van can be damaged pretty easilly and ome bits aren't cheap to repair!

I used to work for a VW Commercial dealer and we sponsored a California owners forum/club and used to go to their annual meeting with accessories etc...I have a photo of the workshop full of California's being worked on on every ramp and one in the middle waiting to be worked on.

I know a lot about these vehicles and what can go wrong with them, and I also organised a lot of the paint repairs as well as some dealers weren't interested and didn't know how to deal with them.

I had one customer who used to come to us in West Sussex from the Isle of Skye to use us for servicing because he trusted us and we had a good reputation for working on California's.

Good luck Thumbs Up Alex

United Kingdom 2015 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Aruba

We are just back from a 4 night trip to Isle of Harris with Brian (OP) and Emma's California. We had a great time in a fantastic vehicle and plan to do this again as soon as possible. They have a very professional set-up, great communication and I personally rate the factory conversion that had all that we needed for a comfortable trip. Of course we took far too much stuff with us, we now know that the secret is to travel light.
Thumbs Up

Shame it's Scotland as I'd hire one if it was a bit closer. . We are looking to buy a Cali and wanted to try one first to make sure we are doing the right thing
