Retractable Steps

Hi all,

One of out retractable steps (Passenger side) refuses to go back in, I can see its trying to retract but clicks then stays out, the drivers side is fine.

Any ideas where to start in finding out what the issue is or is their a way to keep both steps out so the car looks even.

Have you greased them. Mine used to do it from time to time. I would give them a good soaking with WD40 or similar and then spray grease worked every time. 2020 Porsche Panamera Turbo Hybrid (V FAST)

Yeh tell me about it.

I can see the motor trying to move but the step stays out so I'll disconnect it from the motor if I can and then test the motor then see if I can manually move the step. Range Rover quotes.....

They work via a solenoid, it might be seized.
